These places are haunted places in Mumbai. The stories are regarded as truth by some and some just ridicules it. 5. Aarey Milk Colony
This colony was established in 1949 and has long green pastures. This place is famous for its greenery in the concrete forest of Mumbai. This is a popular place, but the dark secrets have always haunted it. Many have said that they have encountered ghostly images and even seen and heard strange things. People do not really visit the place after dark.
4. Sanjay Gandhi National Park
The protected area on the northern fringe of Mumbai is famous for man eater beasts and wild life. Well, people do not generally fear those deadly beasts but they are scared of ghosts. It is said that a hitchhiker often asks for a ride and also frequently spotted there. Many visitors have claimed it to be true including the watchman of the Park. 3. Mukesh Mills
This is one of the most haunted places in the city. The mill was closed in the 1980s and never opened after a tragic fire accident burnt it. It is one of the most popular shooting destination for movies. However, notorious stories have always surrounded the mill. Many people have experienced paranormal activities including possession. Once an actress was possessed and she started speaking in a manly voice. Many such instances have raised eyebrows about the mill. Personal belongings like the camera, phone and wallets often go missing at the place as well. It is one of the most haunted places in Mumbai.
2. Grand Paradi Towers
One of the most famous and haunted places in Mumbai is the Grand Paradi Towers. It is located in one of the poshest places in the city but encountered several paranormal activities. Since the building is operational in 1979 total 20 cases of suicides have been registered. Interestingly all suicide cases are similar and everyone jumped from window to sacrifice their life. In 2004, three generation of a family committed suicide in the same fashion. The people believe that some spirits make the people commit suicide. The flat where the entire family committed suicide is still unoccupied.
1. Tower of Silence
This is one of the most haunted places in Mumbai. This is the cemetery for the Persi people and according to rituals they leave their dead bodies for vultures. The place located at Malabar Hills has witnessed many paranormal activities. Especially the downhill road from the Silence of Tower is the most haunted place.
