3. Lower circular road cemetery
This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Kolkata and is known for the paranormal activities. The cemetery where the life meets the death situated at South Park Street. Sir W H Mac Naughton who was slaughtered in Afghanistan has also been buried here. It is said that his body parts were assembled by his wife and since then he is roaming in the cemetery. Many people have seen and heard him, especially after the dusk.
2. Putul bari
This is a classic place of old mansion haunted place in Kolkata. It is built in purr Roman style and is located at the Ahiritola area of the city. The name of the house translates House of Dolls. It is said that the then Zamindars used to captive beautiful women and exploit them sexually. The spirits of the women are still present at the house. Few people still reside at the building, but no one dares to go to the upper floors of Putulbari.
1. Nimtala Burning Ghat
One of the oldest burning ghats for Hinduism, Nimtala Ghat is famous for spirits and ghosts. Many have seen and experienced scattered experiences of paranormal activities. The Shamsan Kali Puja of the ghat is famous for the ritual. It is said that the spirits come back to this world on that day. The Aghories come to the place and they believe to eat the flesh of the dead people. Locals do not really visit the place and are scared of the burning ghat.
