Punyashlok Ahilyabai is a Hindi historical drama series on the Sony channel. The first episode of this serial was telecasted on January 2, 2021. The serial has been produced by Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya under Dashami Creations. The director is Jackson Sethi, while the creative director is Tushar Bhardwaj. Music for this serial has been composed by Devendra Bhome and lyrics by Mukund Bhalerao. Anjali Gaikwad sang the title song. Rohini Salekar does the costumes. The story has been developed and written by Shirish Latkar, dialogues by Usha Dixit, and screenplay by Koyal Chaudhary.

The Story
Punyashlok Ahilyabai is the story of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar, one who fought against the rights of women. She was the noble queen of the Maratha Empire in India. She was married to Khanderao Holkar at the age of 9. Later, she got support from her father-in-law, and their relationship is portrayed well. She takes the region of Malwa and leads efficiently after the death of her husband and son. The story has been running successfully and is popular among historical story lovers.

Aditi Jaltare has played the role of young Ahilyabai Holkar. Aetashaa Sansgiri has played the lead protagonist’s role of grown-up Ahilyabai Holkar. She was selected to act as Ahilyabai from over a thousand kids who auditioned. According to the play, Ahilyabai is a kind-hearted, religious, honest, open-minded person who wants to break all the odd rules against women. She fights for equal rights against men. She gets married at the age of 9.
2. Khanderao Holkar
Krish Chauhan has played the role of young Ahilyabai’s husband. Gaurav Amlani has played the lead protagonist’s role of grown-up Khanderao Holkar. Khanderao Holkar is the only son of Malhar Rao and Gautama Bai. Due to his short temper, he was put to gurukul, which made him very much angry with his father. 5. Harku Bai Sahib Holkar
Sanika Gadgil has played the role of Harku Bai. She is the fourth wife of Malhar Rao. She is the only educated queen among all others. Her character is portrayed as a best friend of Ahilyabai.

Sukhada Khandkekar has played the role of Dwarka Bai. She is the second wife of Malhar Rao.
