Bhagya Laxmi is a television drama series that airs on Zee TV and streams on Zee5. The first episode of this series was telecasted on 3rd August 2021. Ekta Kapoor has produced the series under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. The serial director is Muzzamil Desai while Shivangi Babbar is the creative director. The cinematography is by Manish Malik. The story has been written by Anil Nagpal, Kavita Nagpal and Minal Tripathi. Vinod Ghimire has given music.

Story
Lakshmi Bajwa is a kind-hearted girl hailing from a middle-class family in Punjab. She is about to get married to Varun, but things turn for the worse when the bus in which the whole family is travelling to get to the wedding venue is hit by a storm. Except Laxmi’s parents, everyone manages to extricate themselves from the bus before falling off the cliff. Laxmi’s father extracts a promise from his brother Preetam that he will get Laxmi married before going down with the bus. Laxmi is devastated. Nano is the aunty of Laxmi, who wants to usurp the property of her late brother-in-law and Laxmi’s father Manoj. She plans to break-off Laxmi’s alliance with Varun and marries someone in Mumbai.
Laxmi, her uncle and aunt and her sisters Neha, Shalu and Bani go to Mumbai. Laxmi and her sisters almost get kidnapped in Mumbai, but Laxmi manages to save them by stealing auto and hiding in a 5-star hotel. The hotel is owned by Rishi Oberoi, who has a soft heart but appears arrogant. Infuriated by the trespassing on his property, Rishi gets them arrested. Preetam and Nano rescue Laxmi and her sisters. Nano plans to get Laxmi married to Balvinder, Rishi’s driver. However, at the wedding ceremony, the hotel catches fire. Rishi faints while trying to rescue people from the hotel but is saved by Laxmi. Impressed with Laxmi, Rishi’s father, Virendra asks for her hand in marriage for his son Rishi from Nano and Preetam. Despite multiple plots by Nano and Neha, Rishi and Laxmi get married eventually.
Later, Rishi marries Laxmi because he has Mangal Dosh, and only Laxmi can protect him. Rishi plans to divorce Laxmi after a year and marry his girlfriend Malishka. However, a series of events transpire, leading to Rishi and Laxmi falling in love.

Laxmi
Laxmi is the daughter of Manoj and Kuljeet and the real sister of Bani and Shalu. She is the cousin of Neha and the niece of Nano. She is married to Rishi Oberoi. Aishwarya Khare is portraying the character of Laxmi. Aishwarya Khare made her debut with DD National’s series Yeh Pyar Hai Ya Sauda in 2014. Thereafter, she acted in the Life Ok series Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re in 2016. In 2017, she appeared in the Zee TV’s Vishkanya Ek Anokhi Prem Kahani. Her other serials include Yeh Hai Chahatein and Nagin 5.
Rishi
Rishi Oberoi is the son of industrialists Virendra and Neelam. He is also the husband of Laxmi. Rohit Suchanti is portraying rishi’s role. Rohit Suchanti debuted in 2015 with MTV’s Warrior High. After that, he appeared in the Star Plus serial Saath Nibhaana Saathiya in 2017. In the same year, he acted in the Sony TV series Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya. He also appeared in Big Boss season 12.
