How to Apply For Duplicate Driving Licence Online In Delhi, Required Documents Details

Many times people may end up losing their driving licence. This could be because of the card damage or even because of the theft. In such cases, the person requires obtaining a duplicate driving licence as it is illegal to drive without a driving licence. The only eligibility criteria to obtain a Duplicate Driving licence is that the candidate should possess a valid driving licence. The licence which he is getting reissued should not have expired and the applicant needs to visit the same RTO in which his licence was issued.

Documents Required to Apply for Duplicate Driving Licence

List of documents that are required during the time of application for Duplicate Driving Licence is mentioned below –

  • Applicant is required to submit a Form 1 and Form LLD which is to get the duplicate licence
  • The applicant also needs to submit a copy of address proof.
  • A FIR is also required to be submitted and the FIR should mention the licence number

Steps to Apply for a Duplicate Driving Licence through Online Medium

Follow the steps mentioned below to book an appointment for obtaining a Duplicate Driving Licence in Delhi.

Step1: The first step is to visit the Driving Licence Appointment System. To visit the portal, you can click here. Once the portal is displayed, click on “Online Service – Appointment with e-Payment”

Step2: On the next page, enter your name and date of birth. In the third field, click on Driving Licence. A drop-down menu will be displayed, select Issue of Duplicate Driving Licence and select the licence type.

Step3: Enter the captcha code and proceed to the next page. Now on the next page, select the zonal office and enter the date of appointment before clicking slot On clicking the search button, appointment list will be displayed and then select the slot.

Step4: After selecting the slot, you can go ahead and fill the complete form. The page will then display a fee that is required to be paid.

Step5: Proceed to the next page and print the application form. Now you can proceed to make the payment of the fee through online medium. Print the payment receipt after making the payment.

Step6: Now, on the day of the appointment, you can visit the RTO and submit the form. The licence will be delivered to you in 7 working days.

Note: Many people are not aware of the fact that they can simultaneously apply for renewal and duplicate licence. Hence if your licence is due for expiry in short time, you may go ahead and renew the licence while getting the duplicate one issued.
