How to Apply For Domicile Certificate Online In Delhi, Documents & Eligibility Criteria

The necessity of a Domicile certificate is to prove that the resident belongs to the state and the person should carry the domicile certificate only to give a proof of the same. The best thing about domicile certificate is that it helps to avail quotas for any educational institution or simply to get a reservation in a Government job. The domicile certificate is made keeping in mind the area and state where the certificate is to be made. One can get many special privileges only with the help of the certificate. How to apply for domicile certificate?

Step 1: Visit the website

Visit will provide you with the online application for the domicile certificate.

Step 2: Enter as new user

When you will open the new application form, you have to enter as a New User. You will find the link for the new user as soon as you open the website. Click on that link.

Step 3: Citizen Registration form

Once you click on the new user, you will get the Citizen Registration form. You can select any one card i.e. Aadhar card and Voter Id card that you have with you. The document number that you have in one of the cards should be entered in the place given to you. A security text box will be provided which you will have to put a tick on.

Step 4: Fill in the form provided to you

Name of the applicant, address, date of birth, etc. are some of the things that you have to fill in the application form provided to you. The house number, pin code, Mobile number, email id. Etc. are also important documents to be entered in the form.

Step 5: Uploading of a photo

For the domicile certificate to be valid, you have to give a photo of yours in the space given in the form. The photo will act as a proof of your identity and the photo should match with the photo in your Aadhar card of Voter ID card. All the guidelines are needed to be followed strictly.

Step 6: Submit the form

After filling in all the details in the form, submit the form. On successful submission of the form, you will get a user ID and password to your registered mobile number. The number that you have provided have to be correct in this case. The user information will help to provide you with the domicile certificate.

  • Identity proof like passport, driver’s licence, Voters card, etc.
  • Photo of applicant
  • Date of birth certificate
  • School certificate copy
  • Proof of stay in Delhi for the last 3 years

All the documents are needed to be attested by the Gazette Officer to be valid for the domicile certificate.
